In January we welcomed Belfast based McAvoy as our latest supply chain management vendor. Established in 2009, McAvoy is one of the UK and Ireland’s market leaders in the precision manufacture and delivery of permanent and semi-permanent modular buildings. Since joining Builder’s Profile, McAvoy have worked with our Main Contractor Service team to build a comprehensive management service, choosing the features which suit their organisational and compliance requirements.
For our Main Contractors, the Supply Chain Management service provides a flexible choice of features to support the integration with existing systems and internal processes. To complement their automated approval workflow, McAvoy Group opted for the ‘Data Review’ module. Essentially, this module provides a pre-approval check of supply chain member Profiles. Supply Chain managers review the data content of every submission, checking the data quality; that insurances are validated, accreditations are genuine and relevant supporting documentation is supplied.
Each member’s suitability and professional standing is continually reviewed to meet the McAvoy’s approval standards, helping to reduce the costs of administering, improving and maintaining supply chain compliance. The Profile data quality is rated, ready for McAvoy’s team to carry out the vital pre-qualification assessment. Ben Miller, Main Contractor Services Manager at Builder’s Profile is delighted McAvoy have joined the common database and says, “Using Builders Profile is the simplest way for their subcontractors to become site approved and importantly, because the service is multi-faceted their supply chain members can just maintain the data for other main contractors, potential new clients and industry assessment schemes.”
